Say we have two really great cyberchrome painters, whose paintings are beautiful. Through sexual recombination, we can create new ones that have features from each of the two parents.
The technical details are fairly complicated, because the brains themselves can be fairly complicated. (Fortunately, that's all automatically handled by the sex engine software!) The result is a child whose picture-drawing brain contains parts from each parent. Often, the child shows features that were latent in one or both parents, just as red hair or freckles can skip a generation in humans.
Here is an example. The first two pictures were drawn by the parents. The rest were drawn by painters created from the first two, by sexual recombination.
