Nick Turner

Born in 1957 in San Diego County, Nick spent his teenage years in the east and midwest, then returned to San Diego where he finished a computer science degree.

In 1979 he moved to the Bay Area to work for Atari, designing video games until 1983. When video-game burnout set in, he moved to Boulder Creek for a prolonged retreat surrounded by redwoods and quiet. Upon returning to the great big world of people and work, he spent several decades exploring computer consulting as a career.

Today Nick lives in Menlo Park, a friendly little town on the San Francisco Peninsula, where he currently offers a variety of services based on a diverse collection of personal passions. In recent years, the greatest passions have centered around ecosystems and preservation of species diversity.

Nick enjoys exploring all fields of science, technology, and natural history. It is his great joy to understand how the world works, and to share that understanding. He is also a lover of art and form, especially evolving art, of which the metaflowers are examples.

Nick hopes that you will sample some of the offerings in these pages. He wants to develop them into ever-growing sources of support because they are what he loves to do more than anything else.
